Warm Fuzzies. Good Karma. Positivity.
So here's an unsual thread for me --
I am really just joining the ranks of digital scrapbook designers, my first kits went out for sale in mid-January, though I was designing freebies for a bit and those were always maxing out the downloads. :) I've worked as a professional graphic designer and web builder for 12+ years and have also taught photoshop, After Effects, Premiere, and more at UCLA Extension so I'm no newbie hehe! I've been digi-scrapping for about two years now, and though I've just started selling, I can see that there's TONS of competition out there from many talented designers, and I'm just hoping for a tiny piece of the giant pie that is the digi-scrapping world online.
In the boards of designers, there's lots of discussion about originality, and I have learned that they/we worry constantly about people copying their ideas. I wanted to find some public way of announcing that I respect and admire so many other designers (and my paypal account is well used and my hard drive is full of their kits to prove it!) and that as a relatively new designer am absolutely not trying to copy anyone. I don't want to be enemies with my digital co-workers, as it is. I want to continue to promote digital scrapbooking in general, and my fellow designers.
So, I've come up with a way to tell the world -- this blinkie:

I'm going to add it to my siggy and post on DST and other boards and try to be a positive influence, here's hoping it comes back to me hehe!
Feel free to grab a copy and post it to your siggy, I'd love to think that there are lots of designers and digiscrappers out there who realize that there's room enough for us all in this marketplace that will only continue to grow and bloom over the next several years.
I'll stop my rant now. Thanks for your time. :)
