Knocked Up

As a personal challange, I'm answering questions from "To our children's children" by Bob Green.  Pretty cool if you need inspiration journaling!

Main kit used is Stationaries by Linda GB
Duct Tape bits and alpha are from Miss Mint: More Duct Tape Shapes & Duct Tape Alpha

Fonts are Amherst, Chapparel Pro, & Stencil

Journaling reads:

We had barely gotten started trying -- and I was pregnant!  Chris and I took a weekend trip to visit my parents, on that weekend I should have gotten my period but I didn't.  I'm really regular, so it was unusual that I was late.

I told Chris as we were driving home that he should get a pregnancy test somewhere on our way back from Sacramento.  We got two tests and I took them, one after the other, once we were home.  Oh my gosh!!  It was positive!

We called my parents the next day (as it was quite late at night) and told them, I remember my father didn't say a word, he was so stunned.  We went to Chris's parent's house and told them -- they were also shocked.  No one expected us to ever say we were having a baby, least of all us!

When I was 4 months pregnant, we traveled to two weddings.  One was in Palo Alto for my friend Ilona, who I've known since high school.  The second was for Chris's sister Cyndi, she married Jeff at a private zoo in orange county.

I wasn't very comfortable on these trips, but it was fun roaming around San Francisco.  We visited Coit Tower, and this is me waiting (impatiently, I might add) for the elevator to get down from the viewing area at the top of the tower.

Journaling reads:
I asked my mother, pictured here, what she could tell me about this photo. I know journaling is supposed to be informative, but the only thing she knew for sure was that it was taken on a family trip to a resort one summer. What I do know is she looks like she’s having fun, and staying cool by the pool!

Journaling reads:
This is my grandmother’s baby grand piano. She loved it, and was so proud of it. My mother learned on this piano, and practiced songs to play for her students at school. This is also the piano I learned on. Soon, it will be my daughter’s piano and she will play it, too. Grandma, if you’re watching, you’ll be even more proud to know that this tradition you started will continue.

First DigiKit: Fig Tree

Well, I've finished up my very first digital scrapbooking kit, and I think it's pretty darn cool!  I have two more (very different lol) kits in the works and I thought, while I experiment -- why not offer these up to the scrap community I love so much for FREE!!

Watch this space, later today I'll be posting the link to download this kit here -- please let me know if you like it, and if you build something with it I'd of COURSE love to see!!

Whee! :)  Of course, I scrapped a page with it already! :)

And here's some from my creative team (hehe! thanks Joy and Kammie!):

Journaling reads:
In the early months of Serena’s life, I got treated to nutritious breakfasts made by  Daddy.  Usually, Serena would be hanging out in the pack and play, on the first floor of our condo.  But we got this cool invention, the BUMBO, and it allowed us to eat breakfast together. (Well, sort of!) The Bumbo propped Serena up just enough, and I loved marvelling at this amazing yet tiny, tiny baby. Wow, was she really mine?
