Electric

Here's a layout I did today as part of my fabulous new (well, temp) gig as a guest artist for Digiscraps by Deb:

I love the expression on Serena's face in this one.  It's using a kit called Serendipitous Days, and there's the papers, the alpha and the elements.  I still need to add the date to this page, but otherwise, this is the first time there's no font to list.

Beautiful wedding album I'm working on

These are for a cousin of a friend -- her wedding was earlier this month and I'm making a scrapbook out of photos my friend took. I've been hanging onto these background papers for a while, waiting for a wedding to use them on. I'm really happy with it so far, they look especially nice with the stained glass kits from Lara Payton!  More pages to come ...

Details:
Kits are Stained Glass Alpha and Stained Glass Frames from Lara Payton
Background paper is from Katie Pertiet's Vintage Estate Paper Pack

Journaling reads:
If you’ve never driven from San Jose to Los Angeles, you’ve never seen the amazing mecca that is Casa De Fruita off the 152. When I was in college, my friend Ilona & I used to travel the hour or so south just to visit this place, and every time I went from S.J. to L.A.  or back, I had to stop here.  They are way more than just a fruit stand, with a casa de choo choo (train for the kiddies) and a restaurant and of course, a bathroom! Don’t you think it’s time to stop?

Scrapping Marlowe

My friend's Kammie & Adam recently got a beagle pup.  I snapped a couple of photos on one of their visits and couldn't resist scrapping these pics for a challenge at scrapbookersplayground.

My friend's new puppy came over for a visit shortly after he was flown in from his puppy farm. These are pics from his romp in the backyard.

Hooray, I'm on a CT!

So I found out today I made it onto Jennifer Riggins -- I got a kit from her today that I've already used to get a jump on the holidays.  Here's a page with some photos I took in the 70's of my dad and my brother and I playing tennis.  I love how crocked and off-center they were, I cropped most of them but left the biggest photo as-is.  Hey, I was only 7!

I posted this one all over the place, I think he'll like it a lot!

Gibson with Winsome :)

Yay, got a new kit yesterday from Lara Payton (she rocks!) called Winsome, and was instantly inspired to scrap one of the "men" in my life.

Posted it everywhere, got a few comments so far :)  What do y'all think?

Here's a layout with a photo from my grandmother's collection. She gave me this giant shoebox shortly before she died filled with photos of her and my grandfather and my mom. There was maybe one or two photos of me LOL. Though I'm sad that I don't know the stories of lots of these pictures (and in fact, I'm just guessing at the date) I loved my grandmother dearly and really want to create some pages to show how awesome she was to my daughter.

This photo seemed perfect for this kit, it's been sitting in my to-do pile near my scanner for a while, but this Design Team Challenge to really try and do my best brought out what I thought was my best photo, too. And darn it, wasn't my grandma cool? Smile
